Aisle Meets Annie

I am honoured to live on Ngunawal, and Ngambri land and acknowledge all First Nation Peoples as the first caretakers of Country throughout Australia and their continuing connection and contribution to land, culture, and community. I pay my respect to Elders past, and present. I acknowledge that this land was never surrendered, and it always was and will continue to always be Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander land.

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community embodies the most ancient expressions of LGBTQIA+ identities on our planet. Since time immemorial, Brotherboys, Sistergirls, and individuals of diverse gender experiences have enriched the fabric of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture. It is important to recognise that the notion of a strict gender binary was an imposition forced upon these lands and its extraordinary Peoples during colonisation.
